Word salad

The man leading the current regime is getting more and more incoherent and unhinged each passing day — esp when he goes off script from prepared remarks, which, let’s face it is very often as he thinks of himself as the “most” clever, intelligent, and amusing man…

It has gotten to the point where the transcripts of his remarks are being removed from the official White House site and replaced with video which have been duly edited in an attempt to stitch together a coherent narrative.

This was the case for his commencement speech at West Point yesterday, where he spoke to a graduating class of 1,000 cadets. He showed up wearing his trademark “Make America great again” baseball cap and started reading his prepared remarks. But then he “improv’d” along the way:

- Somehow, he meandered into the topic of trophy wives: “"He ended up getting a divorce. Found a new wife. Could you say a trophy wife? I guess we can say a trophy wife. It didn't work out too well.”

- He took credit for rebuilding the military: “I rebuilt the Army and I rebuilt the military, and we rebuilt it like nobody had ever rebuilt it before.”

- He criticized our closest military allies and the long-time alliance we lead: “We've been taken advantage of at the NATO level. We've been swindled like no other nation has ever experienced, but they no longer take advantageof us.”

- He claimed that the job of the U.S. Armed Forces is “to spread democracy to everybody around the world at the point of a gun.”

- He claimed his narrow victory gave him a “great mandate” that “gives us the right to do what we want to do.”

- And somewhere along the way, he touched the shoulder of West Point’s football quarterback, crowing that “it’s made of steel!” And just how many cadets in the audience “look beautiful and it’s just not fair!”

Meanwhile, mainstream media carefully curates out most these parts in their reporting because you wouldn’t want to upset the boss now, would you…

But I think that at least around some quarters people are coming around the fact that this clown is just providing one distraction after another, while his billionaire handlers actually pull the strings and quietly go about achieving their own goals… let’s see
