A First for Us

Decided to go for a walk in King's Forest this morning as it was unlikely to be filled with Bank Holiday crowds. What we did find was this amazing moth on the path in front of us - I've seen Garden Tigers before, and even a Jersey Tiger here on Blip, but this is actually a Cream-spot Tiger. It allowed me to take its portrait before flying off to the safety of the undergrowth. Apparently they are found across southern Britain and, in Suffolk/Norfolk, are generally only recorded in Breckland (the sandy/heathy/forested inland area) or on the coastal heathlands. It had to be my Blip for today!
