Well, China Mieville certainly rules New Crobuzon. Just a couple of chapters into this book and I'm really liking it; a crazy blend of Charles Dickens by way of Mega City One after reading William Gibson and Philip K. Dick. I'd love to see Terry Gilliam make a film of this; I'm sure he could bring it in under one billion pounds.
