All Saints in Mattishall Rood Screen painting.

Painted in 1457….two saints on a panel bearing scrolls with sentences from the Creed .
Painted over brown in the Reformation and subsequently restored by the Curate in 1856 who was able to rub off the paint with a wet finger !
Near here for a Sunday dinner so popped in …the church was locked ..but key in shop over the road !
