Finishing Ruth

Last Sunday was a complicated day for me .so I was not able to get my usual Sunday Summary done, but I did want to, at least, attempt to summarize the day.  We began our service with a congregational song. After the welcome from Pastor Wes, we watched a short video in honor of Memorial Day, followed by the choir,orchestra, and all our talented accompanists as they presented the worshipful anthem, "Man Of Sorrows" The congregation sang a few more songs before Pastor Wes took us into Ruth, Chapter 4 for the conclusion of the story in which we are reminded that, just as Boaz had a plan to redeem Ruth, so God has a plan to redeem those He loves if we trust in Jesus Christ alone for our salvation.  It is a beautiful picture of God's plan for us and Pastor Wes has much more to say about it in the Live-stream, which would be a good investment of your time to watch.  At the end of the service, Matt called our graduates to the front to be recognized and prayed over as they enter a new chapter in their lives.  Our long-time former pastor, Steve Washburn and his wife, Linda, are moving out of state to be near children and grandchildren, and because this was their last Sunday to attend FBC, Pastor Wes asked Bro. Steve to voice the final prayer.
