Lunch

It was a busy Sunday. I was up at 6am to drive Ian into Exeter for his volunteering stint at the Great West Run before all the roads closed at 7am. Then it was time for bellringing followed by the usual hour or so of UNO.  Then I just had time to leg it back home in order to get the car and head out to lunch with everyone. I had this very yummy nourish bowl - super tasty.  Then it was time to pick up a weary Ian after his volunteering stint. He had very red arms! I told him to pop suncream on as he headed out but he just did his head and face so he will be lobster armed for a few days.

After that I decided to strip the bed and get it on the line as there was still some sunshine about. I stuck it on for a 60 minute wash and set myself a challenge of getting the clean bedding on and cleaning mine and Leo’s bathroom before it finished.  I managed it just in time to peg it all out.

I had bought a new under sheet and popped that on as it promised to be a deep pocket version.  It was true to its word and will hopefully stay in place. Our latest mattress seems to be extra tall(deep?) and the undersheets keep pinging off in the night.  I did curse it at the start as I decided on a jaunty patterned version instead of our usual plain ones. It wasn't until I had it on that I realised there was a definite right way up. I decided it would annoy me too much if I left it wrong so had to switch it around.  It was worth it though as the pattern makes me smile (extra).

I may have to buy a couple more different patterns and then I can get rid of the pingable ones.

I also ended up scrubbing the carpet as I managed to drop a full cuppa that Ian had just made me - what a waste!
