A speedy Spaniel

My human didn't finish work until 4pm today and by then she was really tired (& it was also looking like it was going to pour with rain) so she said, 'Trixie, let's just go into the field for a play'. I didn't mind that I wasn't going on a proper walk because playing with my ball is one of my favourite activities.

BUT...................... guess who was in the field today?..................... Phoebie the cute little Spaniel. She's only about 2 years old and she is super speedy. When I was only two years old, I could run faster than practically every dog that I met. Now that I'm six and a half years old, there's quite a few doggies that can run faster than me.

We often meet Phoebie in the field and she's a bit naughty. If she gets my ball, she runs around with it for ages and doesn't give it back. Ann doesn't mind but I do because she says that's just what puppies do. Anyway, now that she's growing up a bit, she's learning to give back my ball. Yay!

She managed to get my ball three times today, but at least she eventually gave it back. Yay!

….............And then the heavens opened and it absolutely chucked it down with rain. The field is right next to our house and in the 2 mins that it took us to get home, we both got soaked through to our skin.

Sun is shinning again now, but heavy rain and strong winds are forecast for tomorrow. Boooohoooo!!!
