Hills and furrows

It’s that time of year again - G is marking, or at least preparing to mark. Standardisation meeting today - live online from 9 till 5 (with a break for lunch, not provided as it was when these meetings took place away from home).

Anyway I left him to it and got on with damp, drizzly day things. I’ve been completing Blipbook13 - almost there. And I have been reading and sewing of course - these are two things I finished today.

The sewing is word number 17 Furrow, the aim being to manipulate fabric with stitch to make furrows.

I am a huge Kazuo Ishiguro fan. I have all his books and have read them all at least once, several lots of times. I read an article (an interview with the author actually) in the paper last week about the making of a film of ‘A Pale View of Hills’, his first book, so I thought a re-read was in order. The film made an appearance at Cannes - I wonder whether it will ever appear anywhere where I can see it. (I am probably going return to this subject another day as I have more to say about the book and the film-making process.)
