Red breasted geese

Today we went as a family to the WWT Barnes with the three grandchildren. Weather not the best but they did have a fun time playing in the tunnels at the adventure playground ..see extra…and the new climbing frames plus seeing the otters fed and lots of birds. As we were leaving it started to rain and we were looking at these red breasted geese and the water running off their backs….which meant I was able to explain the expression  “ like water off a ducks back” to the children re their waterproof feathers!

Later we went to daughters house  and after that to Pizza Express which have some very good discount deals at the moment!
