Inshore Lifeboat - Lytham St Anne's

RNLI Walk to the Wall fundraiser. More than 150 people walked over two miles, over the sands and the estuary, at low tide, to an old wall originally built to contain the River Ribble. These wonderful people came up the river to meet us.

We made our way back via a slightly different route, walking a total of more than five miles. It was windy (Gale Force 6 according to the RNLI) and very wet underfoot. At times we had to wade through channels of water. A very exhilarating afternoon. I came home with boots full of sand and water.
