Proud to be Red!

I write this blip having absolutely loved a day being part of a day in history. Parade Day as Liverpool Football Club showed off their trophy in a ten mile open top bus trip around the city. 

A drive to Broad Green Station with the view of getting a train which didn't happen as they were not able to stop due to overcrowding...so it was a walk to a place on Queen's Drive to join the party!! 

An incredible atmosphere. A fantastic experience. A brilliant privilege to share in the joy of the players and see them on the bus.  

A wet walk back to the car didn't dampen spirits at all...however very saddened to hear of the incident with the car and pedestrians. It takes away the red glow of pride, joy and excitement that should be surrounding Liverpool tonight. It's now tinged with shock, dismay and sadness...
