Memorial Day

After more work in the kitchen to use up things that otherwise would have gone bad, I bought a new very simple fridge/freezer that was a bit smaller than the old one but came at a reasonable price and will be delivered next Monday. Amazing how dependent we have become of this appliance. It still cost a 1000$.
The afternoon we spent with friends watching the movie „Woman in gold“ about Gustav Klimt in a beautiful home with a huge tv screen. The picture today was taken from the ‚high up‘ deck of the host, overlooking his beautiful rhododendron garden, the Siuslaw River on its way to the ocean, the dunes and the ocean.
