....Hardly Infrared

Having bought an Urth (extra thin) big stopper filter a while back, I have been keeping my eye Urth's R72 Infrared filter hoping the price would go down on Amazon (77mm  filters are not cheap). Despite some iffy reviews I went for it. Delivered the next day. So far so good..... until the filter was held up to the light. Fobbed off (not so fobbed off as they accepted the refund). But, still a feeling of being robbed, and worse so if one were new to IR photography they wouldn't know what they are buying and at £60+ it is hardly a bargain price for a, in this case a dark red, filter.

I should have gone for the trusty, though slightly dearer HoyaR72, which would have blocked out pretty much all the red seen to the pic , maybe apart from the LED filament, which I think emits some IR light. Highly annoying.

See the extra. Despite the WB setting the grass still appears "green", which of course should appear "white" or snowy.
