Warning: Flash Photography & GCSE Work

Spent most of today and yesterday taking pics of some ace GCSE work, albeit, a tad late finishing, but we got there eventually (usually they're done before Easter giving the students ample time to revise and reflect etc). It is a part of my job I truly enjoy and being quite a fussy if not thorough blipper, I find it helps to perhaps "sell" a student's work without sounding too corny: there's nothing worse than an examiner wanting to see more proof of work when all the hard work is done through the domestic marking, comparing, assessing, arranging, PDF scanning and sending off the folders.

The delightful piece in the blip is a modular outdoor kitchen play unit, one of 14 projects: plenty of niche processes to get examiner excited for sure, which in D&T terms is the name of the game.

It has been a tough year so far with a new head of department who started in September and hopefully we can continue, learn and make it easier for ourselves next autumn. Fingers crossed.
