Chemo buddy.

I have met so many people over the 12 days of being here. Today I met John and his chemo buddy. He filled me in on his life story and was telling me about his bucket list and how he has only one thing left to do on it. But he will need £5000 . He's a engineer in aviation and something else but his last big hoorah is to go up in a spitfire. His little dinosaur is his chemo buddy. To give him support and comfort.

The dog is called Hamish and his owner works on the ward I've been living in. She's so lovely and friendly and always stops at my room for a chat. Today was her day off but her husband fractured his foot. So she was waiting on him.

The beautiful woman and her gorgeous dress is my orthopaedic surgeon Nadja.  She walked into my room and the first words out of her mouth were " Edinburgh are rubbish,  can't believe you are still here " . I haven't seen her since last Thursday. In a polite way she told me doesn't want to see me this Thursday when she is back on the ward.

Xander had his CSI day at the high-school.  I'm waiting to hear how he got on. They should be coming up for a visit. I was planning on going home today and had my bags packed by 8am when I asked my nurse if I could go. But I'm not allowed at the moment with the amount of strong meds I'm on. But they have a plan to try and switch some meds around and for me to reduce the oxy liquid. . So maybe tomorrow or Thursday I might be able to escape.

And the doctors will write me a separate letter for me so I can go private.

Thanks for all your continued support.
