Churnet Valley Walk
We're still taking advantage of the dry weather to walk in places that would usually be quite muddy. The Churnet Valley is one of those spots.
We walked from home down into the valley where I took this photo and then up the valley side to Hawksmoor. It's an ancient woodland owned by the National Trust. And back again via Oakamoor village. It looks idyllic today, but was once an industrial village where iron and copper was smelted.
A steady 6 miles or so.....
The extra is of a mayfly.
