Huernia Zebrina

Commonly known - evidently - as Lifesaver Plant, or Owl Eyes. It's a succulent, in the Dogbane family. So now dogbane is a theme, apparently. I got it from a friend and am tickled to death to have it now blooming its incredibly weird looking blooms. On the left is an as yet unopened flower, on the right is the flower once it opens (with another bud coming). Here's a page on the subject.
