Keith Road S., Gabriola Island

Today I took the 22 minute ferry from Nanaimo to Gabriola Island to see the progress of our son's housing project.  The septic field has been approved, the tanks installed and the site where the house will be built is now excavated.  It's been a while getting plans engineered and approved, so this is exciting progress.
A, is already doing some landscaping:  (extra photo) planting special native plants amongst the trees they are preserving, using rotting stumps as a source of mulch - a work in progress that already looks lovely.
