Midpoint ….

of the Gerald Desmond bridge (aka Long Beach International Gateway Bridge) linking downtown Long Beach with the harbours of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Its deck is about 180’ above the docks below, 205’ above the water. According to the sign, it’s 3500 miles to Shanghai where I was theee days ago.
Was very impressed with myself for cycling all the way up and back home in under an hour - a distance of 12.5 miles.
