Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2025 Monday — A Special Day

God gave us a morning that was breathtaking. So I wandered thru our backyard taking photos of flowers and my "field of fans." Then inside more photos of flowers and my anniversary wedding dress.

On Memorial Day Mr. Fun & I often mention George Ingalls from Corona High class of '64; he gave his life in Vietnam. When a grenade landed in a foxhole filled with soldiers, George Ingalls threw his body on top of the grenade to save the lives of the others. When George was a senior in high school, his class voted him to be "Mr. Lucky." George was a Christian; he was much more than lucky, he was saved. He had given his life to Jesus. George understood giving his life to save another. He was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously.

Later in the day we attended a potluck, which was a "Moment to Remember" as three of the UkeLadies played the Armed Forces Medley and everyone sang along.

And it was a "Moment to Celebrate" as everyone surprised and honored us by acknowledging our 60th wedding anniversary which is just days away on the 29th. This has been a very good day.

From California’s Central Coast
in Cayucos,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
