Blue blossom under a blue sky

Ceanothus thyrsiflorus, known as blueblossom or blue blossom ceanothus or Californian lilac, is an evergreen shrub in the buckthorn family Rhamnaceae. It is endemic to Oregon and California in the US. Here it is growing in our garden.
