Need a Lift

Another  long drive for me today . first of a site delivery to Horncastle and then from there a long drive to Northampton depot to pick up some items for a customer urgent order and then back to Lincoln a round trip of 210 miles. Nice weather in Lincoln but as I got further south and approaching Northampton very heavy rain.
After leaving the depot heading back out to the M1  I spotted an interesting structure so parked at traffic lights I grabbed a shot on my mobile. Having done some research on the internet I have discovered it is The National lift tower originally built to test lifts and now adays it also has a use as the tallest permanent abseil tower standing at 418 feet (127.5 mtrs )  and no you wont get me trying it out. Built in 1980 and officially opened in 1982 it is now a listed building more info can be found in the link. As you can see from my shot the very wet roads I encountered
Once back mid afternoon  I then spent time checking off deliveries and putting stock away. A relaxed evening is now on the cards we will watch Chelsea in the UEFA Conference League final
