New thatch on the Cottage

This morning I went for a walk with a friend and her dogs in Pembroke Lodge Gardens within Richmond Park. This is very old cottage..called The Cottage…which is actually in private ownership and has recently been sold and had a new thatched roof just completed so looking good. This is the view from the public gardens near Pembroke Lodge which has a cafe and hosts lots of weddings too as it has a great view over the Thames and a Richmond all the way to Windsor Castle. See extra for the photo on Rightmove last year. A large cottage! Most of the houses in Richmond Park are still owned by the Crown eg where Princess Alexandra lives.

Later I made a quick visit to Kingston and the local shops.

Very changeable weather some sun but lots of wind too. The rain in the last few days means the slugs and snails have been busy so my hostas have suffered a bit…have moved those on pots off the ground!
