Belatedly…

…The Elderly One passed away just before my birthday. Himself had booked a nice treat for it (the birthday not the death) which we decided to postpone (it just didn’t feel right).
So I’m having a belated birthday treat.

I have never experienced a Spa before.

I wasn’t looking forward to it much, mainly because I like to know ‘the rules’ and what is expected. This was a massive unknown to me. (What do you even wear??).

It is not a disappointing experience.

I speak as a woman who has been nowhere near a swimming costume for some quarter of a century. (And that is not code for ‘I wild swim’! ).
There are pools galore, all very warm, and one that takes you outside onto a roof pool experience with jets of warm water. (I don’t mean that they hose you out Fireperson-like).
Relaxation abounds.

I am outside a small glass of Prosecco.
