Conferring

Lots of trekking today between Old College and the RSE. I popped in to the RSE first thing, as we have been hosting a conference on the funding of tertiary education in Scotland. An undoubtedly controversial topic, but with the RSE's convening power an interesting group of people were brought together to discuss it. I'm afraid I had to leave after about an hour to have some other meetings in the RSE (including one introducing CS to DH), and then onwards to chair a meeting up in Old College. I got back there around 4.45pm just as the conference was morphing into drinks reception for a bit more (quite interesting) mingling. It was nice to see RB13 a few times - at the beginning (when I showed her some phone pictures of EAJS) and then as she was leaving the building and I was heading back in for the reception.

For the first time, I felt a bit more as if I belonged in the building....
