Off on an adventure..................
Today the sun was shining and the sky was blue, so off we went on an adventure. We went to Bedruthan Steps and walked all the way along the coast path to Porthcothan and then came back via the fields, lanes & valleys.
….............And the good thing about our walk today was................ we covered three 'I Walk Cornwall' walks in one walk, because there was a short walk, a medium length walk and the 6.5 mile walk that we did, all covering the same area. Yay!!!
For those of you who read our Blips regularly, you will know; we are aiming to walk 100 of the 'I Walk Cornwall' walks in 2025 and Ann really wants to get ahead of our schedule because we have friends coming to stay in June (who will not walk), so that's going to push our schedule back by a week and also in Oct/Nov we're hoping to go back to Edinburgh for a few weeks. And also if the weather turns bad, then we obviously can't do a big walk.
Anyway, so far, so good. ATM we're on track to completing our challenge.
Our walk today was lovely. I love walking in new places because there's so many new smells and places for me to explore and today I was pretty much off lead for the whole walk. Yay!!
…................And then we came home and my human turned into a 'grumpy old woman'???!!
What is it with holiday makers that make them think that they are exempt from following any of the rules?
Ie, there is one parking space per property, so why do they think they can just park another massive car in the middle of the car park right next to the sign that says, 'Only one car per property'??
What part of, 'The big red bin in the car park is for residents only. Please refer to the info in your property as to where to dispose of your rubbish', do they not understand????
Why do they think that it is acceptable to just dump black bags next to the bin they are supposed to put rubbish in, because they can't be bothered to read the info in their property to find out what the lock no. on the bin is to open it. Do they not have enough common sense to realise that if you dump a black plastic bag full of rubbish then the seagulls will rip it open and then the rats will come??!!
Obviously not!!!
St Ives atm is full of 'entitled' people who think that they are on holiday in an all inclusive resort. …........This is actually a 'working town' and over the years, holiday makers have become more and more obnoxious. My human has rented out her home in the past and made quite a good living out of it, but she wouldn't do it again. …..........Too many rules & regulations these days and too many people trying to claim compensation for the teeniest, weeniest little thing that they think they're entitled too. It's sooooo sad because St Ives is actually a very lovely place to come on holiday..
Moving swiftly on........................
My human went swimming at 5pm tonight. OMG............. it was like swimming in the Caribbean. The sea was so turquoise and warm. Unfortunately she didn't take me with her (because the beach was mobbed) so I still haven't tried out my my new life jacket.
Oh well, ho hum................... I'm guessing I still have all summer to try it out??!!
