Waggons Roll…
Was going round the cows this morning when I got a phone call to say this lorry was on his way with a load of fertiliser. Luckily I was about to empty him …
Had him emptied and away by 11.30am, no burst bags and no grey paint on the loader. Not bad for an amateur . The only painful bit now will be when the invoice arrives.
An afternoon of various things. Managed to take the two plastic sheets off the top of the silage pit as I’m nearly at the back and the face keeps collapsing and taking the sheet and tyres with it.
Next was a lorry arriving in with the water pipe fittings I’d ordered last week. I presumed they would all come in one box as usual , but oh no. 11 different boxes and 5 of them burst. The driver managed to gather up what he thought was everything off the lorry floor but still missing some bits. Had to phone the company and hopefully they will replace the missing stuff as the order wasn’t cheap.
Went down the road to feed the heifers I took down yesterday. They are still a bit wary, but hopefully by the time they need to come home in October they will follow a bag…
