Bring Me Sunshine

One of my newest David Austin roses has started flowering. Bring Me Sunshine was a birthday gift from Rob, last year. When he cleared a large area to site my greenhouse, there was a great place for a new flower bed as well, and I have planted the rose here. I have been nursing it along through the prolonged dry spell and am glad we have finally had some real rain. I probably won’t be saying that for long will I as we are due several rainy days now.
Something else has showed up, the first asparagus shoot in my sandy place! Hopefully there will soon be signs of all five plants.
