I'm Back
With huge apologies for my unexplained absence. I had a UTI, but was actually more affected by my reaction to the antibiotics (2 different ones). Suffice it to say that I basically spent a week on the couch sleeping...I'm slowly starting to feel normal again! Meanwhile, I've missed all sorts of things.
My summer plant ID class starts in four weeks, today. So today I went plant shopping with the tech from the landscape technology department for the balance of the plants I need to teach this summer - mostly annuals. We had good luck with the perennials surviving over the winter, so not too much shopping to do. We rewarded ourselves with lunch at the Cornell Farm Cafe afterwards...yum!
We came across this new Monrovia hydrangea - one of the "Seaside Serenade" series. I'm not sure which one this is, but we were intrigued by the coloring of both the blossoms and the stems (very dark), and the leaves, which were thick and very deep green. It's kind of cool what Monrovia has bred: Seaside Hydrangea.
Back home again and took a nap - that was a lot to do after a couple of weeks of feeling low!
