Bus Pass Walk - or not!

Confusion over bus times, so the group got on the 10 am bus whilst I went for the 10:22 :-)) Chaos all the way after that.  After getting into Bingley I went for the Leeds to Keighley bus as it goes on the bypass and would give me time to catch the others up. However, they were just setting up roadworks outside Lidl, and the lights were not syncing with the normal traffic lights so big queues were forming, and people were leaving big gaps between cars so making things worse. The bus eventually arrived and made good time. However we were 2 minutes late into the bus station. I could see the Hebden Bridge bus was still there so got off first and got to the stand just as the bus doors closed and he started to back out!  Driver shook his head to show he wasn't going to open the doors, although I understand that once they start backing out of the stand they are not allowed to let anyone board.
So I wandered round the shops to waste an hour until the next bus, and then it started pouring down. Decided to still go, but once we reached Oxenhope there were roadworks all over the place and signs that the route over to Hebden Bridge will be closed for 7 weeks from 2 June.  As we dropped down to the town we reached more lights and people trying to come through on red had blocked the whole system up. A farmer left his sheep trailer and walked up the hill to back up traffic to try to sort it all out. That worked until a campervan decided to take his chances and clogged it all up again! 15 minutes later we finally reached the town centre, and I got to the cafe where the others were having lunch! Ho hum! Lovely lunch though, which the others kindly paid for as a birthday treat. Only 1 photo taken today - the old bridge in the centre of HB. Coming home we seemed to get the green wave and there were no delays at all! Still it was good to get out and meet up with others. Good job I'm a pretty patient traveller, haha.
