The Mrs and I spent the day in Kyoto enjoying the sites and sounds. Some quiet places and some very crowded places.

Kyoto has changed a lot since I first visited in 2006. It was wonderous and beautiful. It shifted my way of thinking about history and my limited reality. There are greater worlds beyond mine that I have no idea about.

There are still pockets of wonder, but it is a circus now. It feels like there are more tourists now than then.

Still, there’s power there.
