Last one before the upgrade

Not only have I got my hands on the newer insulin dispensing devices, I am now on the last Libre 2 before starting on the Libre 2+. The Libre 2 is stopping being made and I got that changed at my last clinic appointment. Just as well really, considering how long it's taken to sort the insulin dispensing devices.

Other than the fact the Libre 2+ has a 15 days life, rather the the 14 days of the Libre 2, I'm unsure what difference it will make. I will no longer be able to tie the sensor application night to piano lessons night on Wednesdays. Thursdays is usually my quietest evening, so it's always suited me well that I do the change over then of letting the old sensor run its life out, then activate the new one.. For some reason the sensors seems to work better after 24 hours already on me before being activated.

I always keep the applicators in the box until the sensor has completed its life - just in case the sensor goes wrong and it has to be sent back for a replacement. Which has only happened to me once in three years. (about 70 sensors!) I gather I'm lucky...
