Messing about on the river
After a morning spent on various chores, MrM and decided to go to Knaresborough, where we spent a very pleasant afternoon exploring the town and walking by the river. Dry and sunny while we were there, but very windy. We didn't have time to mess about on the river, or to visit Old Mother Shipton's cave, but we're planning to go back in the near future to do both those things.
On leaving Knaresborough MrM drove us to Scar House Reservoir, with the intention of a walk. However, the wind there was so strong (and cold - MrM's fingers turned white!) that it was an effort to walk, and at times difficult to stay upright. So it was a very short walk to the reservoir from the car park, and back. As you can see from the extra, the water level in the reservoir is very low.
After that we headed for home, stopping in Skipton for a meal on the way.
