Ouch!

Unfortunately our lovely day at the beach was interrupted by a weaver fish which stung H’s toe whilst he was wave jumping. We got him to the lifeguard but unfortunately the lad on duty didn’t think it was a sting so sent us to a pharmacy. It being ascension day, most were shut and the duty pharmacy was the other side of town. Couldn’t get a cab due to a protest against Uber. Eventually got an uber and the pharmacist confirmed weaver fish. She was lovely, gave paracetamol and sent us home to get hot water. After half an hour running hot water over it the pain was subsiding.
Five hours later he’s able to walk again, had dinner then went to bed. Mostly he’s relieved he’ll be able to play cricket on Sunday!
