Spot the heron

Or is it an egret? Wish I’d had more than my iPhone with me. Its movements were lovely and graceful.

It landed a few yards away and I tried to sneak up again, but of course it was having none of it.

Busy day but didn’t really get into my rhythm. Very hot and muggy. Did do a little bit of creative writing which I really enjoyed, but got interrupted after three quarters of an hour. Ended up going to Costco later but didn’t go mad for once, and only came away with essentials (if you can call six 2 litre bottles of Ribena an essential - it is in our house).

Off to Hay again tomorrow!
