Roof

Message from James with pictures of the roof.  He has been talking to OH for advice about roof repairs.  He got a really good quote, there are gaps where the roof is leaking, he has had ££ payout from Aimee's estate so why not?  OH suggested re-using good slate on the front of the roof and then new slate look alike on the back.  The builder is also going to paint the front of the house - will look fabulous and just such a shame Aimee will not be here to see it - she would be so chuffed.  She loved her house and made it into a perfect home.

My day was ok - OH was going up to London for lunch with old work colleague but cut the big grass first (going away at the weekend and wanted to get it done before we go).  I did a boring, dirty, heavy job (replacing all the stones in the gully around the patio) but it looks better.  In for a shower and change and he went to the station and I went to Sainsbury to fill the car up with petrol and get car snacks from M&S.

Home for some sewing and a chat with S and my sister L.

OH had cheese on account of eating at lunch and I had a prawn open sandwich - my new go to light supper.
