Beans, ferns and rain

Woke to a rather gloomy day, with the distant hill hidden in the mist. When Mrs M came back from the shops I decided to walk down town to get my hair cut, as it didn't look as if it was going to rain. Of course, as soon as I'd reached the road a few minutes later it did rain, just enough to get me wet, then it stopped. Is it any wonder that I'm always on about the weather!

During lunch the sun emerged so I took my after-lunch cuppa outside to make the most of it. Five minutes! Spent the next couple of hours outside, sorting our more runner bean pots and sticks and doing some fiddling about in the greenhouse. My Blip today in the absence of anything more exciting!

Cut a load of ferns down at the end of the house as they were hiding the row of potted plants on the edge of the path. More fuel for the leaf mould heap! Checked all the runner beans to make sure they were finding poles to wind round, then it began to rain so I gave up and came in! My extra today is of the bean poles along the length of the deck - can't wait for the first crop whenever that will be!
