Rambler Rose

This rambler rose is grown from a cutting I took in my mother’s garden some years ago. I don’t know its name, and mother couldn’t remember it at the time. She never liked to have it cut back, and over the years it has overgrown and swallowed some smaller flowering bushes next to it, but every June it’s a splendid, fragrant cloud of flowers.

I don’t think I’ll let my plant go wild like she did, but I am cheekily letting it find its way upward into a neighbour‘s tree that’s growing on (and across) the border to our garden.

It‘s getting hot again, today with 28°C and high humidity. Tomorrow, we might get thunderstorms. Rain would be very welcome, as long as it comes without any drama and damage.
