Cobh

We ventured to Cobh today and had a nice breakfast overlooking the harbor. There’s a beautiful Catholic Church at the top of a steep hill overlooking the harbor, and the streets are lined with colorful buildings wherever you look. Two of the most interesting historical events in Cobh have to do with ships. It was the Titantic’s last stop before they sunk! Also, it is the spot where the Germans sunk the Lusitania. Over a thousand people died, over 100 of them Americans.
We drove to Cork in the afternoon but looked for parking for over an hour and decided to call it quits and head back to Kinsale. We are going to try going back to Cork in the morning!
