Nature based economies
In the last few months I’ve learnt a lot about rewilding (and changed my view) through conversations, including disagreeing agreeably with detractors.
Having worked for Scottish NDPBs for several decades I should have been able to work out why Nature Scot seems to be in a constant state of dragging its feet on these matters. Tom Bowser’s excellent and very personal account of introducing beavers to Argaty in Doune is revealing inside story of the challenges involved including those organisations who were often unwilling to act in the best interests of communities and wildlife.
Anyway I finished reading it yesterday. I hope Alasdair Allan, the interim minister for climate action, also reads it.
