Langsett
We ignored the drizzle and headed over the Pennines surviving the heavy traffic on the A628 (Woodhead Pass) many HGVs with lines of 20-30 cars stuck behind them.
Langsett is somewhere we have not been to this year and today we walked across the dam and walked the South side a change from convention 9 times out 10 we would walk the North side.
The South side was much more interesting with over 40 bird species including Little Ringed Plover, Golden Plover, Common Sandpiper, Curlew and Oystercatchers with at least one chick. No Lapwings ?
the Resevoir was level was down a little but much better than Woodhead which very low now and getting lower every time we see it.
