Exmouth

It took us six and a half hours to drive to Exmouth today, a journey that should have been around two hours less.  Serious roadworks on the way to junction 11a south of Cheltenham and an hour to get through Bristol on the M5.  The northbound road was bumper to bumper from Taunton all the way to Bristol.

This evening we’ve walked up to town and had an excellent and good-value Nepalese meal.  We then investigated some of the local footpaths and then came back to the hotel along the esplanade.

The beach has been busy with students from Exeter University, playing games, swimming and now enjoying barbecues.  Lovely to see.

Hopefully an easier journey tomorrow.
