BLIPMEET AT THE COAST
Got a bus at 9.45am heading for the coast. The journey was supposed to take around 1hr 45 mins but it took a bit longer due to the driver getting lost. Chris (60plus10) met me at the bus stop and we went to the flat where her husband Roy and blip friend Pat ( Shygirl73 ) were waiting. Had a nice catch up plus coffee and biscuits.
Then Chris, Pat and I went for a wander. Weather was lovely - warm and sunny. Back to the flat for lunch.
Then Roy drove us along the coast where we parked and then we walked along the causeway over to St Marys Lighthouse. It was quite busy there. We saw some seals on the rocks. See my Extra shot. Not a good shot as I only had my phone camera and the seals were quite camouflaged on the rocks. Main blip is of the lighthouse and Pat & Chris. Another Extra is Roy, Chris and Pat.
Back to the car and then we dropped Pat off near her house. The rest of us went back to the flat. I checked the bus times and Chris came with me to the bus stop.
I did intend getting off the bus in Newcastle and doing a bit of shopping but it was 5.45pm by the time the bus got to town so in the end I just stayed on it and came straight home.
Had a lovely time catching up with Chris, Roy and Pat. We were lucky with the weather - a bit windy at times but apart from that it was lovely.
Had two phone calls while I was out. Unusual as I hardly ever get phone calls. One was from the nurse at my Health Centre saying she has got me an appointment with the " wound team " at Blaydon Primary Care Centre for my leg ulcer and the other call was from the Eye Clinic asking me to confirm that I will be able to attend on Monday for my cataract op.
