WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Lucy got a bike!

Lucy is 9 1/2 and she’s always been a late developer in anything remotely scary. She started lots of things - swimming, ice skating, cycling but always gave up as she was scared of drowning or falling (she takes after me!)
However over the last couple of years she has mastered the swimming and skating and now she is riding her new bike and loving it.
She has grown in confidence so much. I can’t wait to see her and Amelia when we go up there in June.

Yesterday my headache just got worse and was pounding, I was aware of it all night even though I was dozing and I felt rough this morning. I phoned the GPs and surprise, surprise, got an appointment for today.
The young lady Dr said ‘Oh you don’t look well’.
After I told her what was wrong she did a thorough examination, eyes, ears, neck, reflexes, limb strength etc. asked if my eyes were photo sensitive and if my neck was sore. It was obvious to me that she was thinking meningitis. However, that was ruled out thank heavens. In the end she said it was most likely a severe migraine as it was only on the left side of my head. I told her I hadn’t had a migraine for five years. She advised me to try Zolmitriptan again and see if it helps. I took one straightaway.
Within 2 hours I was feeling much better, not 100% but better.
The Dr phoned me at 4.30 to ask if it had worked so I told her yes.
She also advised me to get some Magnesium Succinate as that is the latest advice for migraine sufferers.
Trying to find it was near impossible but I eventually bought some on eBay from a reputable seller.
Anyway, for the time being I feel OK if a bit washed out.

Thanks for all your concerned and kind comments yesterday.
;-) X
