Columbia River Gorge

A beautiful warm day made us go to the little building on the right side of the picture. It’s called vista house on Crowns point and is an interesting building. Inside all is marble , a darker kind, even the restrooms look fancy because of the marble. The style seems beginnings of the last century , it reminded me of art deco.
In the extras among others you will see Anita and Otto, who came to the US in 1972 from Germany and after having worked in the kitchen of some big hotels and their restaurants, they opened their own little Bavarian Schnitzelhouse in Multnomah. Now they are 75 and are still shopping for and cooking in their own restaurant.

They are famous for their pickled dill soup, but everything we tried was good and we didn’t have to wait a long time for the food.
