On This Day

Trophy

Nearly every time we go for a walk Flora finds an abandoned tennis ball. I have no idea how she does it. They must have a specific smell. Here she is with today's trophy.

This morning Cameraman set off on a long train journey to Suffolk. It involves four or five changes. Once there he'll rendezvous with his friend M and they'll embark on their annual walking/photography/beer and dram sampling holiday. Not as much sampling as in their younger days but I'm sure they'll have a great time. M knows the area but it's new territory for Cameraman.

Flora and I have had a couple of walks and some time in the garden. The runner beans are starting to flower. The  plants have been well watered in by the overnight rain. It's a pretty decent day though.

Later I'm going round the corner to friends who have invited three of us  for a meal. I'm looking forward to that. Before that I have a draft an email and agenda for a meeting next week. It's not really my job but it has to be sent on Monday so I'm just going to get on with it.

And I must thank you for your kindness in putting my front garden onto the popular page yesterday. I'm glad that so many people like it.
