Lincoln Cathedral & Castle

We were treated to a lovely brunch this morning at Stokes, close to the Castle, by C’s daughter H & son D, for “our” birthdays, as they are only a couple of weeks apart :-)
D’s partner L joined us too, we all had a lot to catch up on! A couple of hours flew by.

The youngsters had other things to do, whereas C & I had time to spare, so we wandered around the cobbled streets, into the castle & out the other side onto Bail-gate & then into the cathedral. Something neither of us had had chance to do before.

Today’s blip was the first glimpse of the cathedral as we came out of the castle….looking splendid in the summer sunshine. It’s a lovely 22c today & not so windy finally!

We also called in 2/3 pubs that were advertising Live Music & left them C’s flyer, hopefully we might hear from one or two.

Having a couple of hours downtime at home now before we hit the road towards Coventry for tonight’s gig.
