Tewksbury from The Ham
Despite the warmth; the drought chasms opening up in the clay paths made walking difficult, it was a lovely long walk at the confluence of the River Avon with The Severn. The long grass was a whirr of spring birdsong. Some caterpillars were beginning to ‘shrink wrap’ the riverside trees to protect their larvae, and themselves, from predators. Last time we walked here in the autumn the Ham was completely flooded.
