Bassenthwaite Lake.

This morning it was miserable.  If I had gone out at 5.30am it was a little bit better, the sky wouldn't have been as bland.  Like many plans the early start was put off for another cuppa!  In the mean time the weather had got worse.  This was one of a few rainy, misty, low cloud photos I took.  You would have seen this view a few times, but not like this.  Bass Lake is in the foreground and getting back to normal levels, with Skiddaw and Dodd in the background.  You can't see Keswick which is hidden in the distance on the right.  This is a three shot panorama.  You could hear water lapping against the rocks, a very pleasant sound, beats the traffic noise that came from behind me.
