Behind bars

One for Wildflower Week. The humble poppy. Thanks for hosting Miranda. I’ve always thought of these orange coloured ones as Californian Poppies, I’m not sure if that is the case though, so do let me know if I’ve got that wrong…...

Edit - more likely Welsh poppies. According to Skeena and google ;-)

I quite liked the way they are flourishing the other side of the railings.

Today has been unusually busy for a Saturday. First thing was coffee morning to re-start the local Neighbourhood Watch group. I just went down for coffee and a scone but Callum is going to be one of their co-ordinators. 

Then home for an hour and back into town for an optician appointment. I need a new prescription now my cataract has been done and he was able to lower the strength slightly and revert back to just single vision reading glasses.

Then eventually got the washing out on the line. A warm wind so it dried quickly and was all back in again before my video catch up call with Nicoiseannie. Lots to chat about of course and the hour flew by. Talking of which, we are co-hosting Wildflower Week for June, so I will pop a post up soon for those that join in with this challenge.
